Pad Thai (Seafood Fried Noodle) Recipe


If you're bored with fried noodles or Javanese fried noodles, try making pad thai every now and then. Pad thai can also be called Thai fried noodles. The taste is distinctive because it uses seafood, chives, and fish sauce.

The following is a recipe for pad thai, a delicious Thai seafood fried noodle.

Ingredients (2 servings):

  • 160 grams of rice noodles/rice kwetiauw, brewed
  • 100 grams of bean sprouts
  • 100 grams of yellow tofu, diced and fried
  • 10 peeled prawns
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 chicken eggs
  • 1 bunch chives, sliced ​​4 cm

Spice:

  • 50 ml tamarind water
  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (to anoint the noodles)
  • 1 teaspoon mushroom broth
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
Supplementary material:
  • 20 grams of fried peanuts, coarsely ground
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 lime

How to Make Pad Thai:

  1. Brew the rice noodles/rice kwetiauw with hot water until soft, then drain. Smear with a little oil so it doesn't stick.
  2. Heat three tablespoons of cooking oil, then sauté the garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken eggs and make scrambled.
  4. Add the fried shrimp and tofu, then stir until it changes color.
  5. Add rice noodles/kwetiauw, then season with tamarind, fish sauce, tomato sauce, sweet soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, mushroom broth, and ground pepper. Stir until well blended.
  6. After the spices are mixed, add the chives and bean sprouts. Stir well and cook until just wilted.
  7. Remove the pad thai from the frying pan and serve on a serving plate.
  8. Sprinkle pad thai with mashed peanuts.
  9. Place the lime, sugar, and chili powder in a separate bowl.
