Montad Chuame (Thai Cassava) Recipe

Montad chuame is sweet boiled cassava with savory coconut milk. This food is suitable as a dessert or sweet snack. Here's the recipe.


  • 2 large cassava sticks
  • 65 ml thick coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (dissolved)
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 glasses of water
  • 1 pandan leaf, conclude

How to Make Thai Cassava:

  1. Boil cassava that has been cut and washed with sugar until cooked, then drain.
  2. Cook the coconut milk and pandan until it boils, then add the cornstarch that has been dissolved in a glass of water.
  3. Cook until the coconut milk thickens and bursts, then add a little salt. Remove from stove.
