There is som tum which is made from young papaya, there is also som tum mamuang which is made from grated young mango. It tastes equally delicious, really.
Material:
Spice:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves of red onion, chopped
- 5 pieces of cayenne pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 cm grilled shrimp paste, puree
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, comb
- 1 lime, squeeze
Complementary:
- 100 grams of peanuts, fried and coarsely mashed
- 50 grams of dry fried rebon shrimp
How to Make Som Tum Mamuang:
- Mix all the spices in a bowl, then add the grated mango to it. Stir until the mango is slightly wilted.
- Add coriander leaves in it. Finally, top with mashed peanuts and rebon prawns that are fried until dry.
